Which one should I buy and why, they're both around 3K and both float my boat.

I like the look of the Jeffsy myself. Looks more 'right' to my subjective eye. Unhelpfully, I've not ridden either so can't offer an informed opinion!

I really am made up with my Jeffsy! The bike is an absolute weapon. The most confidence inspiring bike I have ridden for years.

the Intense is no doubt a great bike too but the Jeffsy is better bang for your buck.

I have the Jeffsy. It's a really lovely bike to ride.

You'll have a great bike whatever option you choose mate. A lovely dilemma to have! 😀

Thanks all. It's a shame the jeffsy is only white or black, i'd like a bit of colour.

What are the jeffsy's bearings like, the primer has grease ports and the bearings fit into the linkages?

It early for me to comment, I'm a couple of months in to ownership. So far so good, we have had a wet start to the summer prior to this heat wave so I have not had to touch anything yet. Bike is completely silent

I'd rather the Primer, just because it looks likes the better bike for me.

I decided to go with the Jeffsy, anything else and I'd always be wondering what if.

I've just ordered the primer, after having a 2012 Orange five 26" for wait for it.... five years. I'm hoping that these 29ers live up to the hype, spec on the base primer isn't too shabby I don't think. 3295 is not a bad price either..2965 if you pay cash 🙂

I bought a second hand carbon Jeffsy and built it up similar to the oem spec.

It's a truly lovely bike to ride... and to look at. 😉

My first 29er and I don't think I will ever go back to another wheel size.

Planning on building up a single speed 29er HT for Winter later in the year. 🙂

The intense looks great, but those rims are only 21mm wide internally and deore brakes really let the rest of the spec down. I couldn't justify buying it when the jeffsy spec is so much better.

Jeffsy. You'll hate those rims on the Primer.

Deore brakes are great and shouldn't be classed as a downgrade. The wheels are a different matter.

Better frame with upgradeable parts of magnolia but complete full bike. That's the choice.

Well, I ended up buying the Jeffsy CF2, partly because it was in stock and partly because it had a Reverb vs the Turbine on the CF1.

Its a great bike and I made the right choice, it's a great bike, albeit it weight a tonne! For a carbon bike I was expecting something lightweight, but this thing weighs more than my 2012 Orange Five. However once on the trails it doesn't feel heavy and seems to be able to carry so much speed and climbs incredibly. Coming from the Five I'd say it climbs like a hardtail, there is no noticeable bob whatsoever, it also turns in quicker than the Five, which really surprised me as I thought 29ers were supposed to be slight unwieldy.

I tried to like the 2x11 (the range is great) but I just can't, so I'll be converting to 1x at some point soon.

Those are the exact same reasons that I bought my Jeffsy 27 CF2, Reverb over Turbine + it was in stock at the time, I also went straight to 1x. When you do I can also recommend upgrading to the Reverb 1x lever, it's so much nicer to use.

I got a 29er Jeffsy CF and it's an absolute hoot. It climbs much better than I'd expected, better even than I'd hoped, and feels incredibly capable on the twisty bits or pointing down the hill.

After 4 months on the bike I can genuinely say absolutely love it, few gripes, rear wheel removal is a faff, and yesss... the wheels are not the best, I do think 2lb can be lost through a new set though I’m not in a rush. Already had some avid elixir xo trail brakes and some goodridge hose so I took the Deores off and slapped them on. Like I say love the bike and it really is chuckable, few people have remarked on why I bought a 29er but I think they seem to relate to early models with poor geometry. Just to my annoyance, sunset have dropped their price of the foundation build to a bargain 2,499 so I’d say grab them cheap whilst you can and get some crossmax’s with the remaining 500...
