An Intense story- a mate of mine worked for an Intense dealer. They took a frame out of the box, started building it for a customer, discovered that it was welded up squint. Sent it back, Intense said "Crash damage" 😆

They are pretty though.

my old intense Uzzi VPX was the worst built frame i have ever owned. and I've owned plenty. It was dreadful. not convinced they've improved much/at all.

They are pretty though. 😀

Too many anecdotal Intense horror stories for me. Lots of badly aligned frames and premature failure. My mate just snapped the ISCG guides off his and he's a lifetime member of the Glentress Mincer Club.

Then again, I've heard nothing but praise for the Makulu. I rode one in Malaga last year which bumped it to the top of my want list. Both 2013 models look stunning but I decided to go for a YT Tues. Similar spec for 2 grand less.

Are intense making anything this nice at the minute?

I have heard few stories of snapped morewoods too not a makulu and yeah there is a lot of stories of misaligned intense frames but my opinion is that they look superior quality to the morewood. Swinging towards the morewood wouldn't mind seeing what bos suspension rides like. Yt are really nice spec for the brass there is nothing you would want to change what does it ride like?

Don't have it yet, they're shipping the first bikes at the end of the month. All of the BOS suspension I've tried is amazing though and apparently needs much less attention than certain other brands which will be nice.

I know Morewoods' will snap, as any DH bike will. Intense just start off on the wrong foot by not building them properly in the first place. I don't have any faith in a company that will ship bikes with misaligned rear ends or incorrect rear hub spacing. I remember years ago when I lusted after Intense as much as the next bike geek then seeing a freshly built Socom in my LBS where the rear wheel was pointing to the left. How can the quality control be so bad?
