Took my fork off yesterday and my bottom bearing is no longer buttery smooth:

This was from a Brand-X Headset, which appears to be out of stock everywhere. So, as I only need a bottom bearing, the top one is still nice and smooth, can I replace it with this Cane Creek 40-Series IS52-40 Bottom Assembly one...? Or are the black oxide ones betterer...?
I've used Wych Bearings recently, for Enduro Bearings, seem a bit cheaper than the bike shop. Black oxide or stainless steel with the green seals, bit more expensive.
If you go to the Enduro Bearings site, it shows you the code and the height and inner/outer race dimensions. Best to measure what you've taken out!
I though Enduro bearings didn't have the best rep...?
