Hi all,

Just received another new headset for my 2010 Meta. It seems to have a fairly decent appetite for them!

Quick question. There are 2 very thin aluminium spacers included in the kit, which I bought from Commencal themselves. I'm baffled as to where they would fit when installing them?

The kit was basically, 2 x bearings, top cap and star nut, crown race, top spacer and these two aluminium spacers.

Any idea?

Thanks

Colin

If they are thin washers like shims they will be for above the upper crown race and below the top cover to apply pre-load to the bearings.

The idea is that you use either 1, 2 or none so that he seal on the top cover works as a seal and that you have sufficient contact between the top cover and the upper crown race to pre-load the bearings.
