Evening all.... will try keep it simple...
My stache has an integrated fsa headset
The bearing currently fitted is 41mm od, 30.2 Id, 7.1 mm thick. 45 / 36 degree chamfers.
I have quite a few spare headsets..... and found the exact same bearing but 6.5mm thick.
I don't think the chamfer in the frame makes full contact with the full surface of the angled chamfer on the bearing anyway and the thinner bearing seems to fit and function fine.
Just worried that if I fit the thinner bearing I may cause damage to the frame as there may be reduced contact.
Anyone in the know about these things? Gut is telling me to fit the correct bearing.
Cheers!
