would a sram gxp crankset be compatible with a scott frame that has a BB PF86?

yes but you need a GXP pressfit BB

Or you can use PF bb for 24mm (like Shimano?) axles, such as Hope's PFBB, and fit the GXP axle reducers to the non-drive-side
