After having my bike stolen in London after the PRL100 im now looking for a replacement, insurers have paid out already which is pretty swift and fantastic.
I was looking for a direct replacement, so a trek domane however finding a 62cm frame in the 2018 model seems non existent and the red seat cap is just hideous and the 2019 models arent in until end of october.
I have managed to find a 62cm domane slr from 2017 from leisure lakes but have no experience of them as a bike shop or any experience of the slr model Link here
Is there anything else worth looking at other then the domane that is similar, using it mainly for nights out with the tri group and the occasional sprint tri, weekend riding with the odd chaingang and sportives.
Budget can probably stretch to £3000 ,carbon, ultegra with a decent wheelset is a must - picky and because i can
Sticking with Trek is an Emonda not a option? SL6 Pro in budget.
I have both a Domane and Emonda, both are comfortable to ride. I don’t find the Emonda overly racey, mine is an SLR H1 fit.
The Domane is a 2018 model with front and rear isospeed, it doesn’t feel much different than the Emonda.
Going to see a Domane SLR 7 tomorrow, 3 hours drive away but for the price, I’ve been told I would be stupid to let it pass.
Havent been able to find any Emonda’s In my size let alone any Domane except this one!
