Hi Guys and Gals,
My beloved Norco Sight 1 was stolen from the garage last week. Insurance will cover up to 4000 if I go through Evans cycles which is fine as I bought my Sight there and was very happy with it.
Bit stuck as to what to replace it with?
Seems logical to go 650b or 29" as the high end market seems to be going that way. I had a 160mm fork on the sight and it worked great for Peaslake riding and trail centres.
Top contenders are:
Norco carbon sight 7.1 (maybe treat myself to a pike and sell the revelation)
Norco carbon Range 7.1 (is 160mm on the back too much/is the bike too slack for singletrack work?)
Specialized enduro or stumpjumper carbon 29ers? I love my BMC te02 hardtail but is 29" fully to unwieldy for tight singletrack?
Thoughts or other bikes from their range around 4G?
Otherwise insurance will give me 2200 cash? But the guys at my locals evans have been great with looking after me on the Sight?
Cheers.
Dave.
