You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Hi all,
Had my bike stolen and am being given a replacement to the value of £1400. Trouble is there is nothing on the replacement companies website that jumps out at me.
I am replacing a giant trance which was heavily modded/upgraded over the years. I was running a 130mm recon and liked the bike but always had a hankering to get a heavier duty bike. Fancied building a lightish BeFe, but there is nothing similar on their site.
So I'm thinking I might get the replacement and sell it and use the funds to build the bike I want. Although I'm not sure how easy it would be to sell a secondhand new bike of that price in the current climate. What do the stw massive think would be the likely drop I would need to take in a bike with a 1400 rrp?
The site is wheelies.co.uk and I'm thinking a spesh camber or pitch, by adding a hundred quid or so.
Any advice or opinions much apprciated
Anyone think anything else on there looks good for general trail duties at the £1400 mark?
It's been done before but you do have the right to demand a cheque rather than deal through Wheelies - the insurance companies just deal with them 'cos it's more convenient.
Wheelies with get other stuff for you IIRC
