I normally insure my bikes on my home insurance, is there any benefit on having specific bike insurance from somewhere like padalsure? I've just bought a new, expensive bike that will be locked in my shed.

I have been through all of it and the best I have found, by far, is John Lewis specialist house insurance. Also, securing with motorbike chains and ground anchor, having an immobitag fitted and permanant marking registered with the Bike Register lowered the premium by £60.
