I've been advised to try some more supportive insoles in my cycling shoes, but I wear size 50 Sidis and nowhere local has anything big enough to try so I'm going to have to resort to t'internet, can anyone recommend anything that'll fit and potentially help? Thanks.
I use sole footbeds in my mtb sidis and they have helped but it might depend on what the problem is. Do a google search of here as well as this has come up before and there have been some good suggestions
Esoles Efit if you can find any. They sometimes pop up on ebay if you search item location "international"
50? Eek!
From memory, Superfeet only go to 49. A lot of ski boot fitters do custom footbeds*, so that could be an avenue to explore.
*I have custom beds in my boots. Coupled with a heat moulded shell, they're as comfy as a comfy thing, and really helped my alignment.
Ignoring the above spam, have a chat with Colin at Solutions4Feet in Bicester, I'm sure he'd be able to sort something out for you.
theres a chap in ripponden where i got mine from. about 80 quid.
Im also using superfeet which i like a lot.
Couple of Thermarests?
If you have a sweat-shop* nearby, they do custom insoles for about £40.
*other running shops not owned by Mike Astley are available.
Another recommendation for "sole footbeds" heat moldable to really customise fit and go up to your size. Although I would currently wait for the new ones with metatarsal pads to come out.
