More road miles. Over the Erskine bridge, up to Glasgow and home. Little 30 mile jaunt.
A380 at the airport.

Pretty lovely at Drumlanrig earlier this afternoon

Whole ride smelt of wild garlic, still lots of bluebells out too.

68k gravel ride from the door Darley Dale > Cromford (the only real road section of note was Matlock to Cromford) > canal > Middleton Top > full length of the High Peak Trail > Pennine BW to Chee Dale (nice little descent at the end) > Monsal Trail to Bakewell > Rowsley > pint > home
Stopped at Parsley Hay for ice cream. The eeb was brilliant - stiffened the suspension up, did the whole lot in eco, apart from the last few km when I'd had enough

Ah, the DFS classic.
Crap photo but a lovely ride. Got out reasonably early (for me at least) and did a 50km loop out to Castleton, Bradwell, Bretton and Eyam. Chuffed that I still felt fresh at the end as not done a ride of that distance in a while.
Sun's out. Blue sky's. Shorts and t-shirt weather. What a day for Cutgate and no one about.
Trails were dry and I think the mild winter and all the rain has made the trail more rocky.
A couple from today on the other side of the world. Abigale has now arrived in Rotorua NZ on her travels and will spend the next two months there
Ben Cleuch and Andrew Gannel in the Ochils.
The trench was running at 11 out of 10.
Superb day out. Bit pink now.

Loop of Devil's Dyke this morning, lovely day for it!
We went up a mountain today, the weather was stunning and we had fun. Cadair Idris.
That’s where we’re going
Bits of the climb were tough, even with a motor. This was an easier bit.
End of the climb for the bikes, just short of the summit. I’m sure I could’ve got the bike up there, but not sure it would be worth it, so we just walked up the last few meters.
View from the top
Wife coming down
I stopped taking photos just too soon, so no photo of her landings in the ford 🙈
Well deserved beer & BBQ
It was the club come and try day today… weather meant the turnout was poor, but Fluffy the Emu is always after treats!

Ticking off another section of the Warwickshire Avon today in my quest to paddle all of it.
These upper reaches are getting difficult with lots of fallen trees blocking the whole river and reed-ageddon starting to be in full affect.
Good though.

Clockwise. Silver Glen - Ben Buck - Ben Cleuch - Andrew Gannel - Gannel Burn - Trench
I'll message you with gpx and stuff.
Saturday was lovely, managed to get some time out between doing jobs in the garden and painting

Surrey/Kent loop from the door. I've attempted this loop twice previously, the first ended halfway through with a snapped mech hanger, the second I ran out of daylight and the rain closed in so I skipped the last 16m of off road and bolted home on the road. Today, conditions were perfect and the route took in gravel, dry chalky single track, damp chalky single track, muddy bridleway, pea shingle (a subset of gravel), woodland paths and quiet roads...
Distance: 66.17km
Elevation gain: 1128m
Flies eaten: 2
Unscheduled dismounts: 1
Bananas consumed: 2
One for Rocketdog, I know he likes a bit of filth - lots of spinning rear and entertaining sideways action...

Gravel here. Mainly on the Llangollen Canal but I did manage add a hill as well
I got mrs_oab back on her mountain bike after a long layoff it. Local loop, lovely familiar trails, bluebells and smiles.
Still on the skinny tyres testing the ankle out but at least got on a bit of dirt for the last couple of kilometres (if gravel counts as dirt?). Suspect getting any reasonable level of fitness back will take at least as long as I've been off the bike...
Had a great ride today. Set out from home with no particular plan intending to do a shortish local loop. It was far too nice out to stop after a couple of hours so I just sort of accidentally ended up doing a pretty big ride out towards the dales and got the train home.
Trail conditions out in the open were prime, a bit soft here and there in the woods but I'm hoping the dry weather this week resolves that.
Up over the moor, Wharfedale below

Ooh, Town Falls in Llangollen, @ampthill 😊
Boated them a few times.
Quite nerve wracking with the often large, live studio audience above you on the bridge!
Three rides in three days despite a painful off on Friday resulting in a dead leg that I'm still feeling. Think I ticked hater boxes, with gravel, emtb and old school plastic bikes.

I mean, lately there's been no other choice near me!
Did the NDH TT round at Eastgate, great track for what is essentially pedalling down some fields with a few rocks thrown in.
Wasn’t fast, but had fun 😊
Wasn’t fast, but had fun 😊
If my brakes cost me that much I'd never ride fast, i'd be too busy trying to get my money's worth 😉
Lolz, I’m only using one of them in that pic too!
After the lovely blue sky Saturday - it was back to reality Sunday and grey with rain...

Rounded off my weekend nicely with a solo 1400 meters of Golfie fun this morning.

My weekend includes Mondays, so out testing a smithy Frameworks gravel/adventure bike
https://flic.kr/p/2oAAEBL
And having a bit of a Belgian tipple at the local tripel bar
https://flic.kr/p/2oAymNS
I’ve done the last week in Australia and got home last night, (32 hours hotel to home) 20 mile 2700ft spin round the Purbecks to re-humanise today.
