In an attempt to pep up my road bike I bought some tubeless ready wheels and some Schwalbe Pro Ones.
I have had few problems with mtb tubeless tyres using an Airshot so didn't anticipate any with road tyres. Wrong!!! I just can't get the things to go up. I have done all the usual tricks, put tube in, sealant in, sealant out, gallons of washing up liquid, no progress. Any ideas before I bite on the bullet and take it somewhere with a compressor?

have you checked that both tyre beads are sitting down on the rim bed around the valve area? i.e. sometimes the tyre bead gets caught on the top of the valve allowing air to escape

Have you taken the valve out first?

What wheels?

Ultegras went up with no tape, track pump using Schwalbe One and Hutchinson Atoms I think.

I put a tube in and leave for a day or two.
Then try again.
Did this with my Hunt and one went up and not the other.
Another layer of tape and tube in for a few days.
Went up fine then.
Be patient!
Thanks,
Max

No issue on my Cosines with Pro Ones, easier than mtb even. Had my Hunt wheels come pre-fitted with Pro Ones so don't know what it will be like when the time comes with these

Alle --bleeding --lulia, I have finally got them to go up and stay up.
It took two retapes, new valves, sitting with tubes in and a lot of patience but they have finally seated with the airshot.
I just hope they last a long time!

You've done it now - you're getting sidewall slash in < 2weeks.

😈
