I have a big compressor, I have a gun thing, but it only works on schraeder. Does anyone do a hose with a presta thing on the end that I can swap onto my compressor blaster gun?

Thanks

https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=presta+adapter

There is a presta inflator somewhere, but it's silly money for what's basically the same £5 inflator you can get anywhere, with a presta end.

The other option is just cut the end off your current inflator and fit the head of a track pump.

Just don't get the SKS multivalve head, it's utterly useless at inflating a flat tyre as it relies on back pressure to select which valve to blow air through.

The topeak brass valve is apparently OK (and cheap).

I'm sure I have an adaptor which you can screw onto the Presta valve and then clamp the Schrader gun fitting onto the top.
Unfortunately I've no idea where I got it from, it might have come with a set of Mavic wheel 🙂

I got the Prestaflator a few years ago when there was less choice of other adaptors.

Works great at blowing tyres up but the gauge has never inspried much confidence TBH.

I've fitted a Joe Blow head to mine. Works well and I prefer it to the SKS one.

Park do one, but it's rubbish. Buy a 50 p adaptor it's better.

Screw it onto your Schrader head, and leave it there until you need to inflate a Schrader valves tyre.

I got a hosetail from machine mart and cut the hose of an old track pump. It's great.

Very true, it's rubbish, though not any worse than a lot of others out there.

Just get a Silca 17-2 Presta head (here). Screws into a Schrader head. Really is the best head you'll ever use, you won't regret it.

I swapped my SKS head from my RennKompressor for a Joe Blow and it's good. The SKS adapter head has gone on my Frankenflator and it's fine at that if a bit stiff.

Yeah, same. Works very well. You can buy the head + tubing separately for ~£15 IIRC.

I just use a length of silicon hose pushed over the end of a cheap air gun and push on the valve. Better flow for inflating tubeless, if it’s a bit loose use a cable tie.

Cheap schreader head for the compressor. Cut off the schreader connector, fit jubilee clip, fit barbed Silca presta head. Tighten jubilee clip.

Thanks, will have a look through the options. I tried a cheap valve adaptor, they just don't work with my POS tyre inflator, they inflator doesn't seal at all, so pisses air everywhere.
