You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Hi all,
I am hoping that someone may be able to help:
I started to get some pain on the lateral (outside) of my right knee in July last year (YES LAST YEAR!!) and it wouldn't go away. I put it down to new shoes, new cleats and lots of long miles as I was in-between jobs. I stopped riding, rested well, did lots of physio but the pain wouldn't go away.
I had a MRI scan in Sept '13 and there was some inflammation showing and then back and forward to UK NHS they first of all said synovitis so rest & ice - this didn't work & then it was ITB Syndrome, so lots of stretching & foam rolling - this didn't work either & then it was off to the knee consultant again through NHS and he recommended Arthroscopy. So 4 weeks ago I had some key hole surgery (against my better judgement) and they didn't find anything wrong.
The swelling has gone from the key hole and the knee has recovered well from the surgery but the inflammation pain has come back.
Going back to see the consultant in Oct but we wondering if anyone else had had similar symptoms and how they managed to cure themselves?
Cheers
Gerodynige
