Increase Freehub Noise on Fulcrum Racing 900 DB?

A friend has just bought new bike with Fulcrum Racing 900 DB 11 speed wheels. They are very disappointed with the freehub noise - it's whisper quiet. They want angry bees. Is there anyway to increase the noise on the freehub? I don't think I've ever worked on a Fulcrum wheelset before.

thanks in advance.

No, you can't really make them noisier. I prefer quiet TBH. My Fulcrum 7's are quieter than the Mavic hubs I've had, but nothing like the Superstar V6 I have on my MTB - wow that is noisy !

MTB noisy hubs can be useful when you are near pedestrians on shared paths, but otherwise I'd like them as quiet as my Dura Ace and XT hubs - virtually silent.

It's probably filled with the normal, sticky "no one will look inside this hub until 2030" grease.
Seems to use a fairly normal 3 pawl system, so cleaning the grease out and replacing with something thinner (oil), or just less grease, will make it slightly louder.

I’d give it time. My silt wheels were silent when I got them a couple of months back, a few rides later (several wet) and they’re getting noisy, into the “scare the pedestrians” territory. Which is good, worried I’d have to buy a bell!

As above you could accelerate the process by degreasing.
