We are at BPW on Friday, its looking like rain all afternoon and evening at both locations. FOD is on the way the way home to Yorkshire so we could head home and ride there or we can stay Sat night and ride Barry Sidings.
Any other options?
We will have done Dyfi Thursday and BPW Friday so don't want a huge day.
I don't actually know FOD off piste but I have been following the recent threads.
Risca rides well in the wet, as does Barry Slidings. I'm a FOD local and would take a wet Risca day over a wet FoD day for sure. Though you are higher up and more exposed so it can be grim if the weather really comes in.
I'd offer to show you around either, but I'm off to Morzine on Saturday morning 😎
Whatever you choose, enjoy!
Thanks peanut, ideally we'll just ride Barry Sidings so thats good to know. If its anything like as dry a Yorkshire it can no doubt handle some rain.
Enjoy Morzine.
Barry's okay in the rain, steep enough it doesnt get too swampy outside of one or two sections. Lots of roots make it sketchier but it's good fun!
As above, Risca is probably the best in the wet along with pontypool. FoD offpiste around the stone quarry area (just south of the trail centre, all the tracks are on strava) does hold up well too. Other more tucked away areas can suffer though
