Hi all

As the title suggests really. Is there anything out there better than Hope Pro 4's? Used to really love everything by Hope but having had some less than desirable brakes on my old bike and a wheel that wasn't too great quite reluctant to go back.

Freehub has knackered on my current bike (came with some Novatech's which most certainly aren't the best - a crying shame when the bike cost 6k).

What's hot at the moment for circa Hope Pro price range? Or are they best value for money? My riding style is mainly trail centres, Bike Park Wales, light DH.

Many thanks

DT Swiss 350’s maybe, I’d still go hope if I was building a wheel from scratch though. Dtswiss for prebuilt wheel mind.

For me I'd probably have a look at prebuilt DT Swiss wheels. I find Hope too noisy but DT Swiss are a bit quieter. I've got lower end DT Swiss wheels than your budget, but they just soak up all the abuse I can give them and keep running true and smoothly.

What's your budget for the rear wheel and is there an internal rim width you need to hit?

Thanks for the reply both.

Hope still seems a good choice then. The noise doesn't put me off too much with Hope - I strangely quite like a noisy buzz and got used to it before.

I'm not too sure on internal rim width. My current ones are E13 TRS 30mm with a Novatec D642 - 148x12mm hub. My budget is around the price of a Hope Pro 4 so £224 but happy to go up to £300 or even slightly higher if DT Swiss is a stronger choice.

Many thanks
