Does the Code RSC lever fit the Code R and does it offer an improvement in performance?
Yep, I've just done the same, the RSC is a big improvement. However your still need to make sure the disc is centered and each piston is working evenly, this has a massive effect and made my Rs go from nl feeling naff to absolutely fine (with new ish pads)
Yes and yes. Expensive though, if you can even find them after market.
Have R on the ebike and definitely feel underpowered compared to RSC on my enduro bike. More wooden as well. I went up on rotor size instead to 220mm and they are much better now.
I'm tempted to try posh brake pads like Galfer or Trickstuff before I go replacing expensive parts.
I went up to a 220mm front rotor on my bike with code r’s just to see if it made much difference (got 180mm on the rear). It made a surprising extra power difference.
I’ve never tried Code RSC’s but would quite like to try some. Although I also fancy trying Magura MT7 as well.
£150 ish for me to buy the levers from a German store I think.

Yes, and MASSIVELY... The problem with R level SRAM brakes is they don't have the swing link cam in them that the RS/RSC/Ultimate brakes do. You can bleed them until you are blue in the face, but you will never get a good lever feel because of the lack of a cam, although they will have OK power.
The RS/RSC lever will make a huge difference...

No that's just the lever blade, you need the whole lever. The R / RSC have very different ways of actuating the piston. You can see the difference in the exploded diagrams here but the lever blade won't just bolt on, unfortunately.2x this will do the trick, but you're probably better off buying a set of Code RSCs and selling the R set.

I'm also in the camp that thinks the RSC levers are essential on SRAM brakes. The R ones feel awful to me, but I'm very happy with my Code RSCs.

I've used Trickstuff pads on my Guides.
Summary: Best braking ive ever had. Genuinely surprised by them.
Hugely costly (I do have a brand new set left in a box though... Ahem.😉)
Wear very fast.

I'm in the camp that says set the calipers up well first. I've used RSC (set of guides admittedly) and they're better than the boggo R fo'shure it's like using any top end kit like XTR or XX1 it's lovely, but is it worth it to convert otherwise well operating brakes, mleh, only you can justify it really.

Bugger. Not a cheap fix then.
I was chasing good feeling Code R's but it was really tough to get it to stay good, mine were the newer ones with the bleeding edge tool. A buddy had an older pair re bleeding edge tool and they would stay nicer for longer between bleeds.
I ended up picking up RSC front and rear and they were head and shoulders above the RSC's IMO, also needed very little upkeep since having them now for several years. Recently I did also go to 220mm rotors front and rear and this was another noticeable step up in power and modulation.
I think the whole Code range uses the same calipers so new full levers should just gone on but will need a bleed and olive a piece.
Can you run Guide RSC levers with Code calipers?
