You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I've just turned my SRAM 2x10 chainset into a 1x10 with a beautiful Renthal chainring...however because of the huge 120mm BCD the bottom of the top guide from my e-thirteen chain guide can't sit low enough to stop the chain coming off.
Too low and it catches the chainset arms.
Does anyone have a suggestion for a guide that may fit? My cheapo (but brilliant) Superstar single ring BB guide doesn't work either, it's again too deep.
Maybe an MRP guide like this:

or I botch this:

to my current set-up??
Cheers
Can you take a picture of what your current problem is?
Do you have iscg mounts? If you do and don't need a bottom roller mrp do this guide: http://www.mountainracingproducts.com/mrp/amg/
Thanks Bunga, unfortunately no picture (I'm in work), essentially because the chainring tabs on the cranks are further out, nearer to the teeth profile, the deeper drop of the top guide interferes with them.
Typically I did see that AMP guide straight after I posted my question!
I've gone with the MRP G2 now because the top guide is much shallower than the Superstar or E13. It's basically the AMP but with the bottom guide too, which is fine because the bike it's going on doesn't have a clutch rear mech...yet.
