New to disc brakes, thought Id shorten the hoses.
I followed the Shimano document but when I put a new olive on it wants to slide over the barb?
On the end I cut off the olive is an interference fit.
What am I doing wrong?

1.That's right...the sleeve will compress the olive over the barb insert when you tighten it to the lever.
2.Bin material.
