It's the only thing stopping me from buying a fat bike.
Any other takers?
Wot's it for?
do what?
To stop thorns etc causing a puncture i.e. sits between tube and tyre.
Why not just run tubeless? (Not that I experience many punctures. 1 in 20 months so far)
Because, as far as my experience tells me, sealants don't work in the wetscotroutes - MemberWhy not just run tubeless? (Not that I experience many punctures. 1 in 20 months so far)
work fine in my experience and fatties tubeless up very easily. Folks are trying to get the rolling weight of fatties down, hence ultralight tyre casings, ghetto tubeless etc...adding a load more weight to the wheels just seems a bit counter-intuitive
Easy ghetto tubeless here. Many trouble free miles.
Only one puncture on a sharp Moroccan rock. Sealed with an anchovy.

I've never ridden a fat bike but for normal bikes, sealant works fine in the wet. Half my riding is in the rain 🙁

Sounds a bit fishy that.

Hey, no need for carping....
Only sealant-in-the-wet issue I had was with ghetto tubeless using a non-TL Conti raceking with leaky sidewalls, foamed up and lost pressure once it got wet. Never had an issue with a proper tubeless setup.
