...stop thinking about it and just go.

I’ve read how some of you guys are hooked on the place after riding there and I can totally understand why. With a couple of mates, I rode from
Barra to the Butt of Lewis and back to Barra. I’d read the hype and my expectations were just blown away.

We’re busy planning our next bike tour and it’s taking all our will power not to book the ferry back to Barra!

Here’s a minute long trailer of my full video for anybody still unsure. Hebs Trailer

And here’s the full version for anybody with nothing better to do or still needing more convincing to book the ferry.
Hebrides Feature Movie!

The trailer is great - do I need to watch the full movie?

Would you mind keeping shtum. It rains all the time, the midge are terrible and the locals eat baby robins - that's the official line, keep to it.

Did it in July. The entire Hebridean way over 3 days. It was absolutely fantastic.

As convert says, folk shouldn't get sucked into going to the OH. It's bleak, barren, wind-swept and midge-ridden. I know this to be true as I keep going for summer holidays there.

Sorry BB but that's a travesty. I rode it in 5 days and even then felt I was missing a lot (hence my many return trips).

It has undoubtedly become more popular for all sorts of travellers. More cafes etc than there used to be. We were on the site at the S end of S Uist for a few days this year and I swear we saw more cyclists than motorists passing by. There is the start of a B&B crisis though as many have been sold as second homes, causing accommodation blackspots.

Sorry flimbo, but all the hebrides are pretty shit. Crap food, dreich, terrible sights, rude locals & a midge hell hole.

Irresponsible reviews like yours risk creating another NC500.

Can you not big up skegness or something?

Agreed. It was way too quick. It was a last minute trip that I was squeezing in before starting a new job, that ironically ended up being delayed so I could've stretched it out. I definitely didn't get enough time to take everything in. Will definitely redo it over 5 or 6 days
