A local farmer wants to put three eco pods on Truleigh Hill (about 2/3rds of the way along traveling towards Eastbourne - near Devil's Dyke) for people using the SDW to stay in. It is an award winning farm and the farmer sits on the Brighton LAF (Local Access Forum - statutory body that deals with all access to the countryside, I sit on as an mtb rider).
She has always been very supportive of mtb use of bridleways etc so if you could make a positive comment on the application it would help to recognise that as well as increasing choice for those using the SDW who want somewhere to stay without having to go miles off the path.
Below is a link to a doc with some details in. You can either comment via planning@southdowns.gov.uk quoting the reference or via the south downs np planning portal (you'd need to register).
If you use application ref SDNP/18/01189/FUL as the subject for any emails it should be correctly linked to the application.
Also, if you email can you provide an address so they can see that it would draw visitors from out of the area to the Park?
