Are you a...

- Manufacturer: needs to be good/catchy/memorable/distinctive
- Retailer: less so, perhaps, but have bike/cycles/bicycles somewhere in there
- Distributer: call it whatever you like, it's the brands you carry that count!

I always think names aren't that important as long as they're fairly short/memorable. Most bike brand names are really quite bland...Turner, Gary Fisher, Cube, Trek, Giant etc and its style and graphics that make the difference. But what do I know as if I ran Ghost bikes I'd have this on the headtube...

Klipspringer.

It's an antelope that escapes from pedators by running through big rocks at a speed no other animal can follow. they have weird pointy hooves (sort of on tip-toes) for better grip on the rocks. They can jump huge distances.

I like the sound of the word too.

The Flying Ox, I helped a friend set up his bike shop a couple of years ago and when we were trying to choose a name, that was the one that kept coming up. We decided against it because he'd probably get too many bricks through the window. Shame though, it's eminently memorable...

You'd get loads of hits on Google.
Some interesting options for logos too.

Steely Wheelies - bikes.
Fat Knacker - bikes.
Bobby's Chariots - shop.
Christ on a... - bike or shop.
Fat Arsed Flyers - bike or shop.
Tubular Smells - shop.

All copyright ME, 2010 - taking no chances after the 'Pastry Positive' fiasco. 🙂

Yes, she's ****ing hilarious. 🙁

Not quite on-topic, but I've always wanted to design a jump bike and call it the Stile Cop after the area at Cannock.
