Can i just get an SRAM 11 speed Shimano type to fit my Hope Pro4s ? I have the Shimano hub and if i were to fit one of them i just need an 11 speed cassette, but if i buy an XD to match the XD hub on the standard wheels, i need an XD Hub and a cassette...
If i'm correct, i can run one of these ?

Or even a Shimano or sunrace 11sp cassette is fine. Same sprocket spacing on 11spd mtb.
Any reason the Shimano won't work as well? E.g Shimano HGX I'd assume wouldn't?

No. It would be fine. Most folk do it the other way round though. Ie use an xd driver to run 11speed sram to get the 10t and then shimano for everything else.

Ok ace, that kinda changes my plans and makes life simpler. Just need to wait for my seal driver to arrive next week as well and can get an 11 speed fitted to the Pro4.

Yeah it is simpler to avoid the xd driver if you already have a shimano one. But the xd driver/10t can be worth it for the range increase, but you will know already if you want it/ need it or not.
When i bought the G-160 i didn't realise i have now got a fancy SRAM XD rear hub, so my Hope Pro4's won't work yet due to the cassette on there being XD specific.
So i thought i'd fit the Hopes to my lads bike, front was easy enough of course, but the rear got a little more complex
When removing the cassette i did the usual thing and pulled the cassette/hub off at the same time... not a massive issue, you can just push in the seal again... well, if you have a seal driver like

Which sadly i didn't at the time, so had to wait for that to arrive.
I had a few tries without the driver, but couldn't get it to sit quite right..
When the tool arrived it went on effortlessly.... but sadly the freehub didn't spin nicely as the seal was a bit damaged from me fitting it badly.
So of course i then had to order a new seal as well, so more delays.

Anyway, it went on fine, spins lovely.

I'm not sure yet how long it will stay on there, until i get a new cassette for my 11 speed is the answer arguably. I'll then fit them onto the G-160 and he'll get my standard wheels.
But it could be argued that at the moment he deserves the better wheels more than i do 😀
