The race is over for some of the riders and in record breaking time. Aidan Harding is on the final stretch on a single speed and looks set to smash that record too.

Ditto the running this year. 4 days to Mccgrath which equates to 87 miles running every day.

In 1987 I attended the first attempt at a mountain bike race on the Iditarod trail.

I couple of years after I wrote this piece, I camped in the Iditarod dog team camp with the teams. Coldest night outside EVERRRRR.
