Having recently ridden the South Downs over two days, I'm looking for similar epic rides (well by my standards anyway).

Not in the south this time, but Wales / Midlands / north of England / Scotland. Does anyone have any ideas – something in the region of 100-160km.

I seem to remember the Singletrack crew doing an off-road coast-to-coast. Anyone remember which issue?

Any thoughts much appreciated!

Thanks

Los

If the off road C2C you're thinking of is the one from St. Bees to Robins Hoods Bay, it's around 200k and will more than likely take 4 days.

Thanks, four days I could manage; that does sound like the one.
Cheers for the info!

Cleveland way? Requires a cheeky mindset through as 50% of it's footpath.

I keep meaning to do Leeds to Newcastle. Up Nidderdale and over to Barnard Castle on to hamsterley, up the North Pennines to Consett and down the railway to the town centre.

Be at the long end of what you describe.

The Great Glen Way. Its pretty easy to ride in a couple of days - mostly canal towpaths and forest tracks, though with some steep hills.
