Looking for ideas for a 3-4 day gravel/off road tour  with an 11 year old. Looking for 30-40k a day rides with a max climbs in the region of 600m or so.

Dint want to carry to much stuff so looking for a hotel at the end of each day. Or a base to do a few rides. Ideally looking for somewhere a bit warmer than the UK, don't trust Easter weather.

Not yet thought about logistics of bike bag storage etc yet. So if there is somewhere that is set up for that it would be great. So any ideas?

Probably not the best option for Easter if you want warmth but I'll answer anyway just in case useful for another time or person...

Last year and the year before we've spent a couple of weeks in Austria / top of Italy. They have some great bike routes that follow valleys, so you can start higher and make your way slightly downhill for miles. We did a stretch of the Tauern radweg a couple of years ago:

And then last year the Drau radweg:

with some hut-to-hut hiking thrown in for good measure! We hired bikes (on the Drau you can hire at one place and return at a different one).
My wife organised it all - she speaks good German, which helped. (She's actually written up one of them for an article in next month's Cycling UK magazine!)

My wife (not a cyclist, but pretty fit)and I did the west kernow way in october half term a couple of years back. it was bloomin awesome. Yeah, the weather can be a little bit hit and miss but the scenery is brilliant, the hills are all all short, but steep coming out of some of the coves, especially around the Lizard (I'm looking at you Cadgwith and Coverack!) but you can't beat a bit of Atlantic coast
