Does anyone run Ice tech rotors with guide brakes ? As at the moment im getting on with the latest set of guides but just fancied the better bite from the Ice techs ? and i assume the 40mm mount up front will be ok for a 203mm rotor ?

You'll need a 203 mm adaptor rather than a 200mm one.

I run Icetech rotars with my Guide R's, didnt notice any extra bite TBH. Most noticeable change I made was switching to Uber RaceMatrix pads, once they bed in they are awesome.

Same as above, used the RaceMatrix pads with my Guides on my other bike, with Hope floating rotors, they were absolutely spot on in all conditions. Now I'm trying the same pads with XT and Ice-tech on my other, not tired them yet though, but the Shimano pads didn't last long and they weren't very reliable in the sludge.

The what now? The braking surface is the same, wouldn't expect any better bite just potential improved heat dissipation if riding down an alp, but also better chance of melting a rotor

I'm interested in this too since the price of Sram center lock rotors is silly.
