As per title, I've an i35 front wheel and want a front tyre to suit.
I prefer a round profile, all condition tyre. Looking for 27.5 X 2.5 max and would prefer to avoid maxxis.
Any ideas?
WTB Vigilante?
Out of curiosity, what do you have against Maxxis?
magic mary 2.6
Ive been impressed with my Goodyear Newtons, not ridden in mud yet.
2.5 Assegai on mine. Brilliant tyre!
Bontrager SE4 2.6 has been a positive surprise.
MM or Michelin Wild Enduro.
All guesswork unless you say what type of riding and where? Muddy, rocky?
Round profile all condition? I've had a Hans Dampf 2.35 on a 35mm internal rim and the tyre profile has been fine, not too squared off.
Thanks folks - a quick search of reviews & Hans Damf in 2.35 looks like it's the winner for me + can order localy. The Goodyear tyre is a close second.
In answer to the questions:
Maxxis dislikes - huge yellow logo would look wrong in this bike + don't like the random deformation reports for a variety of their tyres. I've had a couple of poor experiences with their 'normal' tyres too, but do rate their plus sized tyres
All conditions for me is exactly that, a compromise that'll get by in wet, dry, gritty, rocky, boggy, gravelly....you get the idea I'm sure. No racing about but plenty of techy rides all over UK & Europe.
