I fitted a mucky nuts recently and can't believe how something so small can be so effective, that plus mud tyres makes riding in our usual conditions a lot more fun. Up there with a dropper in terms of upgradeness!

Well myu mudguard did nothing of that. It just ables me to get me to the bottom of the two downs without being blinded by mud projections

I put a Shockboard on my downhill bike for a race a while back, looked like I'd strapped a canoe to it. Got laughed at by a fast boy in the youth class who ended his day getting his goggles covered in muddy water and riding into a ditch. Go mudguards!
