I know there’s a difference between what it’s worth and what I’ll get, but I want to get as much as I can without waiting more than about a month. It’s a high end road bike with caliper breaks so losing value every month now most likely.

Basics - 2015 ultegra Di2 groupset, battery and rear mech and one of the wires replaced last year. Still pretty flawless.

Frame - Lapierre Aircode carbon frameset bought new last year off Merlin cycles, to upgrade the Aircode frame that it came with . Was listed as 2500 , on sale for 1600. (Blue, black/white, red FDJ colours ).

Wheels - Vision Metron 40 full carbon, about 1800 - 2000 new.

Deda Elamenti carbon bars (300 new)

Full bike originally was about 4500. It’s had the frame replaced last year and the full carbon wheels, other small upgrades. (Other option is to sell with Mavic training wheels and sell Vision wheels separately).

Weighs about 7kg

These prices are in euros but there’s not much difference between pounds and Euro’s at the moment?!

Cheers. I’d post a photo if I knew how.

eBay will tell you when you sell it there (you can search sold bikes too you know)...I can guess

5 year old bike, say 25% of cost for a known stock bike? Someone will have the "formula".

Probably more in parts than whole but might be easier to sell and faster to start shifting parts of you need money.

The di2 and wheels will probably get most of the cash back quickly and for most of the bike's value. Are Vision 'fashionable' in the UK? Same for LaPierre road frames? Are they more desirable in France especially given the colours? Where you sell might make a large difference.

Di2 setup realistically would get £500-700 depending what junction boxes you have. I would start at £700 with a view to lower if need sold.

Wheels only ones I see sold were tubulars for £300. Tubeless ready expect a lot more but consider the time of year, wear and fashion. £500-700 could see them sold quickly so go up in price from there maybe depending how long you can wait.

Frame no idea, if it was £1600 new start at 25% and work up on condition to maybe 50%. If someone really wants the colourway that helps. Is the steerer full length? If cut you potentially lose some value, especially if low.

Bear in mind a brand new similar spec (bars aside) Van Rysel bike is £3200 from Decathlon.

If you sold the bike whole it is harder to price but to get sold in a month it might be a huge hit.

Is there an amount you need to get for it?

Link to spec / sizes and photos?

If you need to sell quickly for the largest amount then eBay (and offer delivery if that is possible as that will increase price quite a bit).

You have left it too late to get best price though as not as many people in the market looking for a nice road bike just coming into winter, raining all the time etc,. Spring is when to sell a bike.

You could put an advert on here ?

Doesn’t really foot my boat, mixture of 2015 group and for UK not a well known frame manufacturer (for road bikes)

So, it’s a £4500 bike. Let’s call it £5500 if you add the wheels and we’re feeling generous.
“The formula” is new price - 50% - another 10% for every year of age.
It’s 5 years old.
So I reckon you’re talking £1600 ish, maybe a touch more if it’s all in good nick.
I would definitely sell the wheels separately, you’ll get a chunk more that way.

I concur on selling the wheels separately.

Though I think £1.6k is perhaps a bit optimistic due to the combo of rim brakes, unfashionable brand and five-year-old groupset.

Personally I'd consider advertising complete for a week or two but then if you don't get interest at the price you want, split it up and sell in dribs and drabs.

I agree with the 50% plus 10% each year.

At 5 years old its getting on a bit, i think you will be lucky to get £1300. Finding a buyer is another story.

Have a look on eBay. I just bought a Carbon planet X ,105 groupset, Vision 30 wheels for £400.
Rim brakes are unfashionable now, with most road bikes being disc, so as said probably worth splitting

Sell the wheels separately. Rest of the bike is five years old so ebay for a starting price of £1k and see if you get interest.

Due to bikes still not being in stock the demand is high so they're still selling well. Wait for ebay to offer £1 final value fee, offer postage, list it for a bit more than you want but allow for offers.

I did the same for my Cube Attain GTC a couple of weeks ago. Superb condition, 105 groupo, full carbon, caliper brakes. RRP was £1500, I paid £1000 (after £100 trade in), listed for £699, sold for £675. Probably had it up for 4 or 5 days and have never had so much interest (and offers) in an item on ebay.

Think mine was a 2016 btw. Old rules don't apply atm so don't sell it short.
