Ideas? TBH if it's a Scalp replacement I'm going to be pissed, I love the look of the Scalp and hate box like tubing, why fix something that isn't broken?

So it's either a Scalp replacement, a cheaper Mini-DH/Freeride bike (I thought Freeride bikes designed for hucking had gone out of fashion) or a 650B downhill bike.

Now it's going to look exactly like a TR450 if the rest of the bike stays the same lol!

Yarrr but I want spare parts availability for at least a couple of years! I don't really ever like buying a bike that's about to go out of production in case I want to replace a rear chainstay or something a few years down the line.

See also - pretty much every other bike made, ever.

Well the V10 carbon has been in production for a few years now, so has the TR450, so has the 223 (although it's about to be replaced). Etc etc etc. The Scalp has been in production since.....2011.

Buy a Nukeproof Scalp because it's a bloody good bike for a very good price, regardless of 2013's prototype (team only - general production end of 2013)

Are they likely to update the mega for 2013?

I'm not so sure it will be released as late as the end of 2013, the Scalp frames are having 400 odd quid knocked off them at the moment, seems like dealers are trying to shift them before the new model comes out!

Sorry, I just get twitchy when I'm about to spend a lot on a new bike lol.

ROFLMAO I managed to spot one photographed in a race! Might as well buy a TR450 instead, it is one! I wouldn't be surprised if they were using the same factory!

Cheap Tr450s here, although only in small. Transition Owners Group members get a further 5% off as well, which is a pretty cool.

Visually the new bike is a step backwards, it looks like a TR450 mated with an old 05-08 style SX Trail.

Bike "looking like" another bike shocker!

If you want a completely original design commission an artist to build you a frame
