I love the grip but they are sluggish and heavy. I don't mind compromising a bit on grip and toughness.

Any suggestions in 29er size? I'll be using Notubes Flow rims and be tubelessing (is that a word?) them. Full suss, 120mm rear, 140mm front.

BTW what pressures are you using? They are better rolling at lower pressures which they tolerate due to their strong sidewalls

i switched from Minion/RQ/HR to Ardents (2.4 F, 2.25 R). Fantastic tyres, haven't been outgunned yet, although the depths of winter may prove to be a tipping point....

Roll v v fast and amazing grip, especially from the big front one. Seem to be fussy with pressure though
