and it was grand.

I had a bit of free time away from the wife and boy, so having seen Bikebus on the front page earlier in the week I decided to give it a go.

No problems arranging a seat on the website, £15 by Paypal. I did originally plan to go at 08:30 and return at 17:30, which Karl was more than happy for me to do, but my plans changed last minute, I would return at 12:30. Karl had no problem with this and I incurred no additional charges or anything.

I met Karl in the bus at 08:30 and after my bike was loaded and another rider, Greg, joined us we were off.

Arrived at 09:30 at the Buzzards Nest. After chatting with Karl and Greg we decided to follow the same route up the Black climb before heading back towards the Red to meet Secrets and Lies.

Initially I thought 3 hours before heading home would be pushing it. But after a morning of chasing Karl and Greg around the forest I still had half an hour for cake and Ribena at the end.

All in all a great, accessible, professionally run way to get out to Glentress on a Saturday morning. Just don't expect to keep up with Karl on the climbs.

Great review that! Cheers. I'm planning on using them in the next few weeks. I did try and drum up some support last week - but for the Wed night run. Great to hear it turned out well!

Sounds a great little service. All that is needed now is a ski lift.
