I have a couple of i-spec B XT shifters sitting in the drawer, but would like to fit them on bikes with non-Shimano brakes (or even Shimano non-ispecB brakes) so need either a bar clamp that'll accept the ispecB fitting, or buy a new top cover to the shifter that has a bar clamp built in.
Is there such a thing?
Head to Shimano tech docs
Find the shifter you have
Open the exploded diagram
All of the clamp / top cover options will be listed
Google part number of the bar clamp / relevant bits
SJS cycles do most Shimano spares.
cool, ta.
Shimano really made a dog's breakfast out of ispec...
Check out Wiggle before spending on what will probably be expensive parts. They have various 10sp Shimano shifters at good prices including, I think, normal clamp on type.
I've found one on SJS for £19... (11spd XT M8000)
One of the shifters is actually 10spd XTR (M980) and SJS don't appear to have anything for this.
I've got a mullered bar clamp M8000 rear/right shifter you can have for the clamp for the price of postage. PM me.
