My XTM8000 shifter has an I spec B mount to fit my older deore brakes. I've just bought some new deore brakes but they're I spec II. I've done some searches but can't see what adapter I need to convert the shifter to I spec II mount. Is there a simple answer here?

Thanks

Might be better to sell current shifter and buy a new one with the right mount?

Blimey that's the price of a shifter. I was hoping for a cheap solution.

Aye - that’s why I suggested selling yours and replacing with a new one. Probably cheaper.

It’s a real PITA I agree.

I do have an IspecII STX 11sp shifter I’ve taken off just today if you’re interested.

Thanks both. I just expected there would be some 5 quid adapter that would be common. My local Evans have a bar mount version for 31 so I'll get that and flog the other. What a faff!

Sell the shifter and buy a bar mount one.

Wow, that's expensive.

My winter bike has 10 speed. I've just changed the brakes to M8000 and wanted an ipec ii shifter but the only available options are deore or slx (can't find any slx in stock) in 10 speed. I looked at changing the tops but too expensive.

So looks like a downgrade to deore or a band clamp.

I hope they stick with I spec ii now. Too many changes!

I ended up buying a 11sp ispec 2 shifter (£15) and removing the ispec 2 bracket I have attached to my ispec b 10sp shifter , removing the ispec b bracket or course

It’s not a perfect fit and I have had to add a washer under the bracket as it is approx .5mm out of line it didn’t sit correctly within the grooves that the bracket slides along

It works but can move slightly I do plan to do a bit of fettling a tad more of it moves to much

I bought a deore 10 speed ispec ii shifter. I can't tell the difference between that and a couple of year old xt shifter.

£15 delivered.
