Um.... That's the content of one drawer, and doesn't include any shorts, tights, 3/4s, long sleeve jerseys, plain gilets, windproof jackets, waterproof jackets, oversocks, overshoes, helmets or socks. Jesus, the socks would fill the bed....
Is there a 'Hertz Van Rental' one in there 😯
No; I did get rid of a few about 3 years ago.... 😯
Just remembered, I've got 5 pairs of road shoes and 5 or 6 pairs of spds shoes too...
I think you've got the same thing as my old Nan had, what's it called people that collect stuff?
Hertz Van rental = Mental
My names crikey and I'm addicted to cycle clothing! (well your name crikey, but you now what I mean) 😮
I suppose in my defence it does represnt 20 odd years of stuff, but yes, I think I have a bit of a habit forming. 😆
What are the silly little caps for?
To keep my hair in place, of course.
Jesus. Would like to have a decent collection of cycle clothing... Quite happy plodding on with my crap collection
To keep my hair in place, of course.
Hair, on your head, whats that?
Jesus wept.
How many pairs of gloves do you have? 😀
Ohhhhh.. I approve.
Anything you really treasure??
Anything like....old??
Most excellent.
I've got about 20 pairs of gloves...
Treasured stuff? The stuff I've raced in I suppose, although other stuff has proved its worth over the years.
Love it, although space is getting tight...
sell me some? I need a cycling cap..and other bits.
The caps are probably a bit more precious, particularly the Word Perfect one; I tend to buy them as souvenirs or mementos...
Edwig Van HooyDonck rode for Word Perfect, and he is a particular favourite rider of mine; big, ginger, Belgian rouleur, complete Classics monster and inventor of the 3/4 bib knicker because he was too tall to use the tights supplied to him.
There's a Mapei cap in there too, a Johan Museeuw thing...
The Dawes jersey was bought from Steve Douce, who was a great British cyclocrosser.
The pale blue Specialised mitts were handed on to me at a race in Belgium by a team mate who didn't like the gel padding; neither did I so I cut it out and used them.
Nice.. really nice. I like stuff with stories/history/provenance.
The only thing i have left from my ex racing days is a sore arse and a pain in my lower back.
