Probably the strangest thing a dog walker has ever shouted at me on the Nutbrook Trail. And a pretty unlikely scenario, I thought to myself, at 9.30 on a bright crisp winters morning.
A couple of minutes along the trail I discovered that what she had actually said was "Icy patches!" 😳

While out on local trails recently, I passed a pair of rather corporeal ladies walking a pair of flatcoat retrievers.
In a cheery voice I said, "Hello, flatties!"
I was misheard.
