bought a old raleigh roadster, the bb is fubar (paul ;o( )
the bearings are in races that have been ground to pulp, so i am gonna put in loose bearings.
halfrauds used to sell bags of them, but no longer do.
where can i buy them loose.

Proper bike shop, I know my LBS has bearings in all the common sizes & a few less common sizes too.

I know Edinburgh Bicycle sell them for about £1.50 a pack, with a little tube of lithium grease.

if they have been ground up - dont hold any hope of getting it to run smooth , the surfaces will be pitted to **** !

any GOOD LBS will sell them !

If you replace the BB and it's a really old Raleigh, just be careful. They used a different thread to the normal (BSA) thread.

We just used to screw the BSA one in with a longer spanner and plenty grease. 🙂
