I am trying to eak all the life out of my kona that I can, but after having my rear wheel trued and broken spokes replaced for the umpteenth time (Deore Hub/Mavic 117) It's time for a new wheel.
Now I've had a search round the net and found a pair of 475 hubs with Sun Mammoth rims for 70 quid - being somewhat of a clydesdale and money ain't exactly in abundance at the moment, does this seem like a good deal?
Lack of wheel is keeping me off the bike.

This looks good to me, on-one have some decent looking deals, same for superstar too.
When I had my wheel stolen I bought a pair of these http://www.merlincycles.co.uk/Bike+Shop/Wheels/Mountain+Bike+Wheels/Factory+Mountain+Bike+Wheels/Shimano+MT15+Wheels+-+Pair_2176.htm - been very impressed so far
Merlin will do you a Deore/521 disc wheel for £73...
Hold up better for a "Clydesdale".

from the description: "The Hub uses angular contact bearings designed to cradle the balls"......hmm, interesting
Merlin also do a set of shimano 495 hubs on black disk rims for £49.95. They take centrelock disks though. I purchased a pair for my girlfriends bike and have been very impressed with them, so much so that i'm going to buy another set for my commuter/singlespeed.
Disc hubs are 6-Bolt international standard
£41.95
