Me and a mate drove up to Whinlatter last weekend but it was all still shut - car parks closed and trails shut

We met some others who had ventured up onto the trails and said there was no point in trying. We drove down to Derwen****er and rode on the road and round the lake and found some bridalway on the west side of the lake.
We are going to try Whinlatter this weekend but not sure if it will be the same???????
Does anyone know of any good rides around keswick if the trails at whinlatter are shut????

Drove past the area today and still lots of snow on the ground. Phone the shop there and they said that they were not hiring out bike, it is essentially shut.
WhinlaTter is my "local" however not much further away is Dalbeatie and kirroughtree.
They are free of all snow and ice. That's where I will be this weekend.

Been at Whinlatter this afternoon. North Loop still closed to minimise damage during the thaw. Lower part of South Loop and most of the blue are open.
