So as the title reads ...... I need a full suss back in my life for less than a grand!

ME ..... Life story! just turned 47 ........ I have been bike obsessed for all my life.

Schoolboy Road racer 80's to Hard tail XC Mountain biker 90's Full suss XC mid 2000's

lightweight XC Mountain biker 2004 >

Road bike & sportive obsessed again 2005 > mixing it up with off road XC.

Then my son was born 2009 so pootling off road and still road riding! my son was obviously born on a bike so as the years passed he got into cycling ......once an Isla bike he was flying!

Two years ago something strange occurred he got into BMX racing, joined a club, now me being a cycling geek and not content with watching my lad have all the fun whilst I stand around drinking tea... (don't get me wrong I like a good brew!) I ended up getting a BMX cruiser to chase him round, joining the RAD Dads, great fun I can highly recommend! This got me well obsessed off road again with all the BMX skills transferred back to the trails!

I am hardly doing any roadie stuff and have found myself with a New dilema I NEED a long travel slackish full Suss, to hit some bigger more challenging trails. I know no different than 26 inch wheels so won't mind getting something a bit older, however being bike obsessed I want decent kit HOPE - XT - FOX - good reliable kit

......... so after my long winded pissed ramblings what would you buy for less than a grand 2nd hand?

I have been looking at Orange 5 - YETI - YT - Santa Cruz - IBIS - Canyon - Commencal - Steppenwolf - Titus - Mondraker and so it goes! Decent Bang for buck?

Good reliable machines built for the English weather, peak district and bike trails.

Thoughts greatly appreciated : )

It’s interesting that we both specified Fox, Hope and XT!

I'm getting round to selling a Banshee Rampant 2011 that's hardly been used (4 or 5 times in 4 years). Rockshox Rev forks, Fox shock, Hope brakes and hubs, XT/SLX gears, and decent build kit throughout, (not) ridden by my wife who is 5'7" and it fits her well. Let me know if you're interested
