I've got a 80mm Reba on my 29er inbred, it's 1" 1/8 straight steerer, I know 80mm is the recommended fork height but I've been doing some long distance rides so want to lift the front higher for comfort and allow more room for my bar bag, I can't find a 29er fork with Straight steerer at 100/120mm, 15mm bolt through, any ideas?

Cheers

What wheels do you have? Can you change to old school QR? If so theres a few low end rockshox on CRC with straight steerer.

If it's a solo air, you could put a new air shaft in for not much money.

Wouldn't a steeper angled stem work as well?

The fork is a Reba RLT so duel air, could I still change the air shaft?

I've got Hope hubs so changing to QR would be an option I guess.

Don't think so - I'm guessing you've checked already, but is travel on yours fixed at 80mm - I vaguely remember that some were adjustable to 100 or 120 by removing spacers.

No the travel is fixed at 80mm.

Steeper stem is a good idea, I'll check that out.

Just found an old stem in the spares box, once fitted it increased the gap between the fork crown and underside of the bar from 240mm to 270mm, job done I reckon.

Sometimes you can't see the wood for the trees 😉
