He's a bit of a clutz around the garage workshop and in taking off his chainset has lost the washer/spacer that goes on the drive side of the axle, butting up against the bb cup. Non-drive side one (half rubber half metal) is still there. Spent ages looking for it last night but no good.

Does anyone know a part number/description and where you can source this sort of thing (Shimano deore 2yr old.

Just to be clear we're not talking about me......oh no neat and tidy genius in the workshop me...

I take it you mean a HT2 spacer.

i've got loads of those... if you are close to Cheltenham, you (err, I mean your mate) can have one if you come get it.

Bike shops usually have a load sitting around in their workshops, and can usually be cadged for the cost of a pack of choccy digestives 😀

half rubber half metal

that doesn't sound like a normal shimano BB spacer? and there may have been two on the driver side if it's a 68mm BB shell?

I don't think we're talking BB spacers.

Look on here - are we talking number 5?

Part number is 1F3-1600, any shop can order one from Madison post free. They're £1.49.

I have loads of 'Number 8', but don't recognise number 5... i guess that stays attached to the crank arm normally?
