Cruising through town with the GF on the Bullit. Rolling along behind a tram. Some cat comes up behind me, over takes and has to floor to get past me (I'm rolling at ~35kmh) it as there is an on coming car. He gets in front and then brake checks me causing me to slam on the brakes. I catch up with him at the lights about 30m further on. Tap on his window wanting to ask him what he was thinking /gained from his action. He ignores me, pretending to sort something in the passenger seat.
And then he takes some wrappers and throws them out of his own window.....!
At this point my blood pressure jumped. Kicked down the kickstand, went around to the drivers side and picked up the wrappers and chucked them back through the window into his face. Very nearly chinned him, too.... Was ****ing seething. Legs shaking.
Fortunately the GF was there. She's already seen me be run over when Petra didn't like the fact that we were riding 1,5m from the parked cars.

These 'must get in front' moves are the absolute worst. They are incredibly unsafe and utterly pointless.
I lost it a couple of months ago when someone did the same thing to me and I started a thread about it here. I couldn't understand why I lost it because I haven't raised my voice on the road in over ten years. After I described it here I realised it was because I was taken by surprise.
I've actually gotten to the point now where I can tell if a stupid overtake is coming by the sound of the engine as they come up behind me. In this case I was stuck behind a lorry so I couldn't hear the stupid bitch and the first sign I got was when I saw her pull along beside me and start squeezing me into the kerb at 40km/hr.
The most telling thing about drivers attitudes was the people on the thread who don't ride in traffic regularly couldn't see what was so bad. They literally had no idea just how dangerous these kinds of passes are.
Not sure if there's any solution except to wait for self driving cars.

Had one yesterday at a roundabout. Three lanes, left hand lane goes left and straight, other two lanes go straight over or further around, I'm in left hand land going straight and van in middle lane half overtakes me then tries to change turn while level with me, he got some strongly worded advice from me and the driver behind him as he slammed on the brakes then vanished off quickly.

You know full well giving someone the finger in the Vaterland can land you in court with a hefty fine....
And my finger nail, or rather what is missing, is mostly dust.
