Does anyone have a source of cheap hydration pack covers. Mule sized, sick of mine getting encrusted in mud through winter. Found the official ones but they are very expensive for what they are. Loads on eBay for a few pounds but all massive designed for 30+l. Ideally black or dark coloured rather than high visibility.

Mudguard?.

Tbh it's pretty poor that a 70 quid CB doesn't come with a cover, my 35 quid decathlon one did.

+1 for mudguard. Mudhugger works fine on both HT and FS

I think I've one in the cupboard I never use - it's like putting a parachute on my back.
I just use the bargain 5p carrier bags inside mine.

I run guards but it still get's covered on really bad days.

Cheers moose. Thaat is worth a punt. If nothing else it is small enough I might be able to "take it in" with my limited sewing skills.

I use one of those mountain warehouse ones and it is OK. Keeps the mud off the pack itself. Often I can’t be bothered to use it though, and then kick myself afterwards!

I thought Camelbak's came with a rain cover these days ..my H.A.W.G which I've had for a couple of years or so did ..tucks away at the bottom of the pack ..
I found a black Euro hike cover a little while back which you can have..if you want ..it seems large but has an elasticated draw string..so should fit ..

Decathlon do them for the smaller rucksacks they sell - around £6 each. I have one that I use on my Camelback HAWG which holds on very well, without using the inbuilt clips, think they have their own Quecha (?) name on them.
