one of my colleagues is now also thinking of commuting into work on a bike to get fitter and to save time...trouble is he doesn't have a bike and wouldn't know one of a bike from the other in the proverbial sense.
he has set himself a budget of around £300 for a cheap hybrid bike. i think this is a the best way for him to to see if the biking bug bites, and to minimise a big expense if things go wrong i.e he crashes or something breaks.
he's looking at Evans cycles as his girlfriend can get him a good discount and has his eyes on the following bikes:
