Need some 29er wheels for my trek fuel ex8 that i had to buy in plus as 29 out of stock and prob not coming back until september.
So do i go for the bontrager stock items? The hunt wheels or anyrhing else to consider at the c.£400 price point...
Something handbuilt that won’t snap spokes?
DT 1900's, or 1700's if you find them on offer.
What hatter said ^
If you're not in a rush, register on RCZ shop and wait for your weelz to come up on the lottery !
If you're interested in dt1900s then drop me a message.
Can do you a new pair for well under half that £400 budget.
If you are interested I'll do you a straight swap for the Bontranger 29 wheels including tyres that came with my fuel EX 29er for your 27.5+.
I actually have a set of XC Wides from Hunt and they are excellent. great tyre profile, tubeless up with a trackpump on old tyres, lovely clicky freehub. Running them on a Solaris Max longshot and really impressed a year in. Will probably get a Plus set at some point, but paying for a second cassette on Eagle is putting me off a bit.
Hope Hoops of some description?
Thanks el vino, but want to keep my plus for variety,
Hope hoops are being replaced atm arent they? Also quite spendy for me.
Chakaping, will send you a pm.
shedbrewed are you saying the Hunt wheels snap spokes?
Oh and whats the difference between the 1700 and 1900, also whats with the lettering eg m1700 or e1900?
1700 are better than 1900.
E is enduro, that's what I'm selling. M are more trail wheels.
1700s are proper good wheels, 1900 are decent OE quality but less refined
With DT...
1500 = 240 hub 36t ratchet
1700 = 350 hub 18t ratchet
1900 = standard pawl
